Scaper, it was a compliment of the highest order - something I am quite sly about

I personally think that Diablo III will be "Hellgate:London" since many of the original core team members that worked on Diablo and Diablo II will be making that one, although it's from a startup effort, and will have no blizzard ties, but yeah.

I am curious to see what Blizzard will do with D3.

Dammit I wish I could have stayed at blizzcon longer!

I don't understand why they made a 3rd Diablo. Didn't you kill the three brothers in the 2nd game? o.O Being korean, I'd rather see a Starcraft 2 then some Diablo 3.

didnt they make sc ghost already? prolly gona be awhile till sc2
i would imagine diablo 3 attract many players, prolly close to that of WoW, as the previous diablo series have been a massive success, im sure Chris will come up w/ sum cheesy story line again ^^

Blizzard you have proved me wrong.

I believe my quote was something along the lines of

"Not even Blizzard would be stupid enough to attempt making a THIRD Diablo after already killing all 3 prime evils, I'm afraid our hero has decided smashing soulstones on a forge is better than jabbing them into his head."

Hell invading heaven, whoever thought of this should be hit by a bus or at the very least given a very stern look!

All they need to do is top it off with a playable robot, pirate and ninja class and wollah, you've got world's most popular game turned into a crap fest directed to attract the loyal fanboys without a clue.

Oh dear CHRIST.

They can't be serious. It's kinda sad that a company will pull this
shit and rely on name recognition to sell the product.

well if they can actually come up w/ another good story, the game will be a massive success due to the playability of the series

actualy, hell invading heaven is an old idea....
even from an RPG standpoint, i mean planescape, anyone?

and as to the mindless killing, go play a FPS, naw.
i am useless at FPS, i know it, anyone i ever picked up a gungame with knows it.
someof us still like a bit of mindless violence, and D1 or D2 is where we non FPS people can get it. i may not be able to use a BFG to save my life, but i can wave a sword or cast a spell with the best of them, in games like diablo.

many games have used a war between heaven and hell as thier basis. i guess it depends on what critters they use and wheather it gets too close to theology ect or not.
i mean, if i can go buy little angelic figures and make tabletop war between angels and devils, why not on my PC?

only way i would buy it is if it had unbelieveable graphics and a long story line

no offense but diablo 2 storyline got kinda boring after playing it through in less than 10 hours, also including hell difficulty, which is just souped up monsters with the same storyline

Yes.. the storyline got extremely repetitive.. I mean.. what storyline?? pff..
Yes.. it was just running the first 70 levels before you got to do pvp..
Yes.. It was constant complaining in the pvp.. Omfg wtf trapsin guarding the entrance.. d4m u n4p, go do ye mom!!!>.>!!

And still.. something about that game... ummm.. I started hating it a year ago after I played GW World Preview Event..
Now.. After hearing about Diablo 3...
I can remember.. what was it... oh.. yes... The darkness.. the dungeons... you're walking.. you.. you think you heard something... blood everywhere.. This was a freaking massacre.. what happened here!?.. AARGH!! *sounds of battle*

I loved that game.. in some way..
Tyrael was awesome.. not he himself, but what my imagination created after thinking of Warrior Angels.. Like for example Archangel Michael... that might.. Such force.. all to protect the world.. but.. but.. What when the Worldstone was shattered into pieces.. What could possibly go wrong... unless.. the shards.. they struckt right into the core of the heart of Tyrael...
His mind.. a deep feeling of sadness....
~What..?...Why... *crawl in agony..* I..I can't.. no.... NO!!..~
He falls.. darkness takes over his heart..
Darknes combined with the passion of a loving heart.. It can be devestating..
The very boundaries of reality could crumble...

Umm..
Right...
I need to stop..

Anyway.. If Diablo 3 will have the very forces of heavens.. the armies of Warrior Angels fight the dark.. boy oh boy.. I belong in there...
Can't wait for that to come...

EDIT: OOH!! Look what I found... So.. Beautiful...

Pardon me while I gag. The math just doesn't add up, you see.

((Diablo 3 - Bill Roper) - Flagship's Employees) + WoW Graphics != Diablo 3
-- Scaper-X
O_o I may get it if only for sentimental reasons.
Honestly though, it sounds like a great idea but they have to make sure it has the same level of security as GW, ie no item hacking, duping etc, cuz that was what ruined the other Diablo games. Though going by their track record, I cannot help being dubious.

Also must not have monthly fee otherwise I probably won't get it.

I like how you only have one parenthecy (sp?) speaks well for Diablo gamers or does it? But seriously I've never played this game, but I do hear a lot of good things about it. But I hear those things from idiots so who knows if my opinion matters. All I know if the community is like that of Lions Arch district 1I'm not playing

I find Hellgate:London too different in atmosphere and the fact it's set in a real world city destroys the fantasy element. I think it's even less like Diablo than GW.
